Hi there,
I have recently brought a 75" Sony X90J Tv which has built in chromecast. I recently purchased 2 x Google Nest Mini's to use as rare speakers. I have all three (Tv + 2 speakers) in my Google Home and they show in the living room. But when I try to create a speaker group I can only select the 2 x Minis and the TV is not an option to add to the group.
Long story short....how can I use these Nest Mini's as rear speakers when watching TV.....

What brand and model of TV is it? If you go into the TV settings, do you see an option to update it, specifically the cast firmware version?

Hey mate, it's a Sony 75" X90J. I think the built in Chromecast is the issue. I think maybe it's only use is to cast to the TV and can't be used to link the nest minis.... But if you think I can would be great to hear. I'm pretty sure all software up to date

TVs with Chromecast built-in should be able to be added to speaker groups. It might be worth contacting the TV manufacturer as well in case they're aware of any reason why it's not working for you.
