Hub screen has black over

Hi 

I've had the hub mini for a couple years I really don't know. I can see that the proper screen is behind the black pill shaped blob. (The real picture is evedent in the thin strips of white at the side edges.) I've tried EVERYTHING. The special modes who's names I can't remember. Resetting 11 times etc etc.
