Spotify not playing on Lenovo smart clock 2

when you say “hey google “ play music it goes to Spotify and then says “there is a problem with that try again at a later time”

I have r installed the google home app as well as Spotify and even reset the smart clock to factory settings

I’ve tried everything and checked internet etc

cannot understand why as Spotify is default and linked

Hey folks,

We understand that your issue is isolated with Spotify on your Lenovo Smart clock devices. Please note that we have very limited support on third party speakers with built-in Google Assistant like Lenovo. It is best to report this with Lenovo support for better assistance.

If you need help with your Google Home/Nest devices, please do not hesitate to reply on this thread and we're glad to assist you further.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi everyone,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Anyone here experiencing the same with their Google Nest speakers?

For those who are experiencing Spotify on other speaker brands, you can also try to unlink your Spotify account and link it back.

Best,

Princess

Already tried that and it does nothing.

I have alerted Spotify to the problem and spent an hour troubleshooting with no change.

I’ve alerted Lenovo as well about the issue

Some more people need to call up and tell them about this issue which started yesterday

Hi everyone,

It looks like the issue is isolated to Spotify. It would be best to get updates from Spotify and watch out for its fix.

Best,

Princess

Spotify is the only linked account so it cannot be unlinked.

I have the same problem since yesterday. I can't play music on Spotify, but I can play Google music. Weird. I hope it'll be fixed soon.

Fails for me also. I can get spotify to play on the clock from the Google Home App on the phone. But the spoken command on the clock fails. Looks specific to the clock to me.

Same issue, I have a Lenovo Smart Display that no longer is playing anything from Spotify and throws the something went wrong error even after a full factory reset. Worked fine 3-4 days ago

I experienced the same problem on both my Lenovo smart devices. No problem on Google devices. Looking forward to a fix before I abandon Lenovo for good!

Yes but it is also a problem with the Google Home App that links with Spotify.

There is nothing wrong with the Lenovo smart clock as all it’s other features work perfectly- it’s just the google connection to Spotify

I think google has some responsibility here to fix this issue

Spotify is now working on my Lenovo devices. Didn’t need to do anything. It came back just like how it went away earlier 😂

Mine as of this evening seems to be working. Cutting out after first try but starts back after 2nd time usually.

I disconnected spotify from my google home app first to troubleshoot and I can’t seem to connect it back.
