Nest Hub Max reconnecting to WiFi every few seconds.

My Nest Hub Max disconnects and reconnects to WiFi every 20-30 seconds since setting it up. Every single device in my house has zero WiFi connectivity issues, no matter the distance from the router. The Hub is situated approximately 5 feet from the router with only a hollow core door separating the two, so I think WiFi signal strength can effectively be ruled out as the issue. The device is rendered pretty much useless by the constant interruptions as it reconnects, I can't play two consecutive songs on Spotify through it without a pause. I've tried forgetting and reconnecting the WiFi network, I've tried factory resetting the device, yet the issue still persists.

Also having the same issue, spotify drops out on all my Google speakers after about 10 minutes but seems to be OK on my chromecast. Have tried restarting, resetting, clearing data etc to no avail, and can't find an answer online

Hi everyone,

Thanks for bringing this up.

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Nest Hub Max. Could you please tell us when did the issue started to happen? Also, kindly list down all the Google Nest devices connected to the same network so we can further isolate the issue?

Looking forward to your responses.

Best,

Princess

Hi Princess,

For me the only Google devices on our network are the Hub Max and a Nest Doorbell. The doorbell works fine and doesn't suffer from the same intermittent connectivity issues as the Hub Max. Its also significantly further away from the router yet still manages to function as it should.

The issue started when we first began using the Hub Max, about 2 months ago.

Thanks.

Hi Cbentley99,

Thanks for the additional info. Could you please provide the make and model of the router you're using? Also, it would help to try rebooting your network simply by unplugging your router from the power source for a few minutes to refresh the network settings and avoid the congestion on your network.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Princess
