Nest Hub black screen unresponsive

My Nest Hub keeps going to a black screen after rebooting it. I unplug and re-plug it in, and have factory rebooted twice but it just keeps happening. I've had it for over a year and this has only just started about a week ago.

I have the same issue, screen black. The led for closing the mic is on but no response at the screen.

Tried factory rest and all other tips above. I cant reset it because google home don't find it.

I am having the same issue with google home try the work around and it is not working for me.   I need help or someone to let me know what is the next step.

Talk to google support, they helst me and sending me a new on warranty

Mine does not work either again. Tried al reset and safety options. Can you get me in touch with customer support so my device can be replaced/repaired?

Same problem, like others. Black screen, all done like unplugging etc. nothing helped. I thinks it’s a bad update, firmware issue and Google don’t have any solution. Just „I opened a case for you…“ Really disappointing!

Hi i just chatten with google support and they Will send me a new on warranty.

I think that they were very understanding and solved it and The support employe was super correct and eager to solv it for me. I suggest you contact them

My Google Hub Max started doing this too. I was trying to save a recipe to my cookbook and it kept saying I don't understand. Then the screen went blank and only the menu lines are visible.

Well let me get in line behind you all. Came home today and screen is black. When I speak to the hub I get verbal responses but no screen. Unplugged and plugged back in. Tried another plug. Did a reset. Nothing works. This is very disappointing for such an expensive device. Unless someone can assist, looks like I have a new doorstop.

You are literally one of the only people on this entire thread that they have actually helped! Are you a real person or do you work for Google?

I can assure you I do not work for Google. Looks like they ended up being little help to me anyway. Had me jumping through hoops for a week. More than a dozen emails, pictures, took video's and did countless resets. Also spoke with someone with customer service who said she had all the information she needed and they would get back to me to find out where to send the replacement. A few days later I get an email wanting me to reset the device again. That was the end of it for me. Too old to go through frustration like that for a defective device so in the trash it went.

I'm having the same issue. It's to the point now with a screen goes black when playing video at least once or twice a day.  I have to unplug and restart it everyday. What is the recourse for consumers at this point? I haven't seen any recall, or major communication from Google. Clearly. This is a systemic issue.

I agree! I gave up after talking to customer support!

Same issue here. I’ve tried the “new troubleshooting steps”  a lot of time . But my nets always goes to screen with G  after rebooting it and unresponsive… please help me out

Well after more than a dozen emails, pictures sent, video sent, phone call with rep and endless attempts to reset I am still no closer to a resolution. Got an email today's wanting me to try to set up a service with a black screen. It detected someone else's device and would not set up. Hard to tell since I cannot see anything. I'm done. Told them to keep their replacement and I would deposit the unit where it belongs. In the trash. Good luck to you all with an obvious issue.
