Nest Hub comes with error on first command after idle time

I have been having problems with my 1st gen Nest Hub for quite some time now. It gives back an error when giving commands after a long idle time. After it says "Something went wrong", following up with another command will work fine. It will then work normally again until it gets idle for a few minutes. This also happens when playing media or casting but not receiving any commands for a few minutes.

When giving commands, you can see it recognizes my voice as my picture appears on the upper right corner though.

Hello Neilaga7,

Thank you for your post. I am sorry to hear that your Google Nest Hub's Google Assistant takes two tries to work. I understand your concern, that is a frustrating issue. I would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have a quick question.

  • Could you please try to do a reboot and Factory Data Reset on your device? Are there any improvements?
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

Please keep me updated, I look forward to your response!

Hi Frances,

Thank you.

Resetting did not work but disabling 5GHZ in my router settings did the trick. This will be fine for me but O guess not for those living in places with lots of wifi wifi net though...
