I recently updated my router and the name of my WiFi network changed. When I go into the Google Home app on my iPhone, the tile for my Nest Hub is there but grayed, shown as a disconnected device, and I cannot access the settings menu. How can I update the setting to point my device to the new WiFi network?

Hello @dks1,
Thanks for reaching out. To change your Wi-Fi setting, you'll need to be able to access the settings of the device in the Home app. If that is not possible, you'll have to factory reset unfortunately.
One other step that you can try is to temporary change your network SSID so you get can to the settings and select Forget Network, which will hopefully allow you to set it up again with your network's new SSID.
Hope that helps! 🙂

Unfortunately, on many Google Nest devices, there is no way to update Wi-Fi settings. Instead, you have to remove the Google Nest device from the Google Nest app or Google Home app while still on the old Wi-Fi network (if you can), do a factory reset, and then reinstall the device in the Google Nest app or Google Home app whle on the new Wi-Fi network.

Hi dks1,
I'm happy to hear that your issue was resolved. I appreciate @MplsCustomer, @listairee, and @RachelGomez123 for helping here. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
Cheers,
Muddi

Thank you, MplsCustomer and listairee for the suggestions. Ultimately, I had to do a factory reset of the device. But all is working now and I got to review all the settings and options for the Nest (!)
