Nest hub max won’t unlink

Hello,

I’ve recently changed my WiFi network so I removed my nest hub max from my account and factory reset it. Now when I try to re-add it it’s telling me it’s linked to a different account.

I tried to contact googles “24 hours” support but apparently I’m outside their working hours even though on their website it says they’re operating until 11:59.

If your factory reset was someone unsuccessful, that's the error message you would get when trying to reinstall it.

Based on this information, I'd like to share some additional troubleshooting steps that may help resolve this issue. I'm here to assist you further!

  • Force close the Google Home app and check if you have available updates on Apps Store or Google Play.
  • Reopen the Google Home app > scroll down to the bottom of the Home page.
  • Check if their Nest Hub Max is listed under Other Cast Devices or Local Devices.
  • If the issue persists, unplug the device and wait for at least 48 hours.
  • Factory reset the device > attempt to set up the device again.
