Next Display has a Black Patch on the left side of the screen

Just this noon we noticed that the Google Home Display which we had, has got a black vertical patch running on the left side of the screen (its a few cms wide black patch running from the top to bottom on the left side of the screen). Did try doing a factory reset but that did not help? Is there anything to try or service centre available in India to get it serviced?

Hey PrasannaK,

Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I understand how it feels when you're having a screen issue on your Google Nest Hub. A few questions: which specific Nest Hub do you have (1st or 2nd gen)? What is the current operating and firmware version of your device? Also, it would help a lot if you could share a photo showing the issue on your Nest Hub screen.

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

Thanks for the reply. However I'm not able to attached any images here... 😞

It is the 1st Gen Google Home (before it all became Nest Hub).

Hey PrasannaK,

Got it! Just an added question: when and where did you purchase your device? What country are you located?

Cheers,

Muddi

I bought it on 15th August 2020 through Flipkart (official Google Home Partner in India).

Hey PrasannaK,

Thanks for the info you've provided.

I'm afraid that your device is already out of warranty. India warranty only covers one year device warranty from the date that you purchased the Google Nest speakers. For more info, you can check this link.
