I have several Google minis. One of them has stopped in the middle of a sentence while answering a question. It has a good connection to my Google router. What can I do to fix it?

My Google home does this / just did this. My minis never have. Tried sending the report like mentioned here.

Please don't mark your response as a solution when the problem has not been solved!

I wondered what the heck that was too and I've seen it before. There's no solution.

I've sent feedback in April. A couple of weeks after that the situation got better and for about 3 months there was no "cut in the middle of a sentence."
Yesterday, the issue came back. It happens mostly with weather report but also with other longer sentences; e.g. Google Search results.
What a pity. I'll keep on sending feedback.
I wonder how important the "GHT3" is in the feedback, as I keep forgetting it.
08-20-2022 07:54 AM
I think the GHT3 is busy work for us....so we feel as if they're doing something. It is a shame Google doesn't fix it. My mother-n-law switched to Alexa- she likes it so we will probably do the same.

Hi Muddi, I have just experienced the issue and sent a feedback too ("GHT3 Cutting out in the Middle of a Sentence."). Hope it will be useful, this issue is frustrating me since about one year. Thx

I have been doing this and will continue.
it now will cut out music mid song and videos mid song if on a display device.
What’s ever weirder - hours later it’ll will pick up the song and continue playing it. This is new within the past week. The point I dont want to play music on it anymore.
04-22-2022 07:07 AM
Yes, mine too!

Hey actingwizard and StaceyJill,

I actually stopped using my google home devices. I’ll try them again.
04-26-2022 05:28 PM
Still Happening here. I just sent feedback with the above keywords immediately after an occurrence.

Hey Fladge,
Thanks for the update. For everyone, please share the current firmware version of your devices.

I'm pleasantly surprised that I haven't had any issues for the past couple weeks but I'm keeping an eye on it.
04-26-2022 08:29 PM
I haven't noticed it as much.
However, I am noticing two new problems since the stop mid-sentence isn't as often. Everytime it lets me know I have a reminder, I ask what my reminder is and it lets me know. Then it asks me if I want to hear more reminders I say NO, and it continues to say umpteen reminders until I ask it to stop.
The other one that keeps happening is, its not transfering music within my devices. For example, when I'm listening to music on the bedroom speaker and I say hey Google play this on kitchen speaker, it says okay I'll play this on kitchen speaker. Except, it doesn't. It keeps playing on the current speaker. Then also plays music from hours before on kitchen speaker instead.
This product is catching bugs that needs to be fixed.

Hey dburleigh2,
Thanks for the update. Good to hear that the behavior of your device has improved now. Please do not hesitate to update this thread if you happen to experience the same issue.
@StaceyJill: I'm sorry to hear about the new issues on your speaker. It is best if you can create a new thread for that because this one is dedicated to Google Nest and Home Minis that are cutting out in the middle of a sentence. Creating a new thread for the new issue will help us a lot to address the specific concern that everyone has. Moving forward, may I know the firmware version of your devices?
Cheers,
Muddi

Looks like I spoke too soon... Mine hasn't stopped mid-sentence recently but it just disconnected from my network again and acts like I've never set it up, even though the Nest Mini is still in my Home app. Ugh.
I submitted that part of it in my report through the app on addition to it stopping mid-sentence... Do I need to submit a separate report about that again?

@dburleigh2: Sorry to hear about your device. How long it's been disconnecting to your network? Have you tried connecting your device to a different network to check if you will have the same issue?
Keep us posted.

Yes, I've done all of the troubleshooting that is listed in every help and every suggestion that a Google search gave me. I had mentioned it in my initial post on this thread, but with over 100 replies, I'm sure it got buried. 😉
It's happened several times but it's completely inconsistent (not relating to wifi signal loss as we can turn off the router and turn it back on with the speaker being unaffected once it boots back up). It happened probably once a week on average until a week after I posted my comment and then it was a good 3 weeks until it happened again... I thought maybe the team had been working on fixes and that was one of them. 😕
05-07-2022 08:28 AM
I noticed it happening less as well but, this past week it's happened every day. I'm also noticing other problems.
It won't accept "no" as the answer to "do you want to hear more reminders?" I say no and it says okay then begins to tell me 15 more reminders.
The other qlich is it won't move music from one speaker to another any more. If you say Hey Google play this on kitchen speaker, it says okay I'll play it on kitchen... doesn't say the word speaker and then it keeps playing on the original speaker.
Theses other problems began in April.

Hey dburleigh2 and StaceyJill,
I appreciate all your efforts to share your feedback and experience with your Google Home/Nest devices. Let's keep this thread focused on an issue about the speakers stopping in the middle of a sentence since the team is already looking into this issue. It is best to create a new thread for your other concerns, and share the link here so I can respond immediately.
Cheers,
Muddi

I will if it happens again. Thank you.

I'm a little confused.
Yes, still randomly stops mid sentence. Yes still sending feedback GHT3 cutting out mid sentence.
09-05-2022 08:11 PM
It does not seem that the team are doing anything as this has been going on for far too long. It appears that you are here to "tease" everyone into believing something is being done when in all probalilty nothing is happening. Alexa sound loke a good alternative.

Same issue here. Interesting that this is happening at a similar time as others. Would love to hear a fix.
02-16-2022 03:46 AM
I'm getting the same issue, which started about 3 or 4 weeks ago... Same issue, it seemed to only affect one device, now both my Google nest minis are affected. Resetting devices and routers doesn't seem to do anything.
02-17-2022 02:29 AM
Having the same issue also
02-18-2022 03:38 PM
Same issue, started 3 weeks ago, occurs on average once daily.
02-21-2022 01:02 AM
Same here
02-21-2022 03:53 AM
Hello, same problem here. Only have one Nest Mini, it's right next to my router, the connection is okay. It only started like two or three weeks ago and it happens almost on a daily basis (once I had to repeat my good morning routine three times!). I've rebooted and factory reset, nothing fixed is.
Can you please help?
02-21-2022 07:26 PM
Ditto. Same issue. Started a few weeks ago also. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lawsuit Google lost having to do with home speakers a few weeks ago.

I have 7 mini’s, all doing the same thing. In the UK. Started about 2 months or so ago. Nothing seems to solve the issue. I just assumed it had something to do with an update, and eventually Google would sort it out with another update. But it is getting to the point where it’s becoming worth considering another, far more expensive, ecosystem. The morning routine failing more often than not, isn’t acceptable. I truly do hope a fix is coming soon.
02-25-2022 03:57 AM
Having the same problem as well. 2 of my minis randomly stop mid-sentence. It's not all the time, but it happens frequently enough. Please fix
02-25-2022 10:11 AM
Still happening, even today I had to re-do my morning routine THREE times. Any solution?
02-25-2022 02:35 PM
Same problem here. Affected devices include original Google Home speakers, Nest speakers, Google mini's and Google Home Max.
02-27-2022 12:03 PM
Having the same issue.
02-28-2022 12:55 PM
4 weeks of this nonsense. Reset all my google home devices (version 1 and 2). Still won't complete phrases, searches, etc.. Called support they said post an example file. Not sure why they can't imagine what an incomplete sentence sounds like, and I don't have permission to post audio. So yeah fail.....
03-01-2022 06:51 AM
I really wish that someone from Google would respond to this topic since I'm sure there's thousands if not millions of users having this issue!!!
