Recipes on Nest Hub - can this be any more user unfriendly?

I've been on a quest to get my recipes onto my Nest Hub and I'm about to give up. This has to be about the dumbest "smart" assistant when it comes to doing anything useful with it.

The only thing that seems to work is if I Google search for a recipe, then I can add some random recipe from the search engine to my cookbook. Come on - who the heck thought this was a good idea? People want to be able to use their own recipes too instead of just those from random strangers.

I even tried using the recipe SEO to add recipes to my own WordPress website in hopes of being able to add them from web page directly into my cookbook. Nope - of course that doesn't work... there is no option to add it to the cookbook.  Thinking it might be a browser thing, I tried this on IE, Safari, and Chrome from both a PC and an IOS device. Nothing works.

Can this thing be any more user unfriendly?

I have 4 Nest hubs (3 mini and 1 max) and have found them to be next to useless for anything other than streaming my Nest cams and as a clock. They advertise the heck out of the Max being used for cooking and the thing is so half-baked (pun intended). It's like the people who designed this software didn't bother to think about what users would like to do with it.

Google - get your act together and actually make these things useful.
