Type commands

Hello, is it possible to type a command to Google nest? The reason I would like to do that is that I want to set a music alarm with a French song but I cannot get Google to get the song that I mean…

Download the Google Assistant app and you can do that.

When I try to set a music alarm google Assistant tell me it cannot do that on this device yet!?

First I typed this…

Set J’en ai marre music alarm for 7.30 AM Sunday on Nest I sovrum

“Nest in sovrum” is what I named the Nest and J’en ai marre is the name of the song.

then I tried  “set a music alarm”

none of them worked

Ah that is why. Media alarms are currently only available in the US unfortunately.

• This feature is only available in the US.
• This feature is available in the following languages:
  • Google Nest and Home speakers: English, French (France and Canada), German, Japanese and Spanish

But I have set the language in the Assistant to US? Do I need to change the name of my nest unit to something in english, or do you mean I can only searches and set Music alarms for english sång titles.

note. I have been able to set a Music alarm directly on the nest unit for a english song title by voice command

It uses the language/region you have set, so that's not the issue then.

Do any of the commands in that help article work?

Yes but I wanted to set an alarm with a french song…. And it do not understand that

Okay those commands work for English-titled songs. Does it work with any French-titled song?

Not the one I have tried, when it do set the alarm for what looks like the correct French song it instead play the default song from the nest… 

and also, there is a bug in the nest that after snoozing a music alarm it start to play the default song instead of what the alarm was set for and it played when it went of the first time

It sounds then like this probably isn't supported. This is mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.
