All of the sudden, youtube stopped playing on my google nest hub max.
I already rebooted the device, rest the modem and nothing helped.
What to do next?

I am facing the same problem right now. The clock shows but YouTube Video and Music don't play. I am also unable to cast using my phone. Was there a firmware update ?

I am facing similar issue. I am not able to cast YouTube Premium or YouTube Music premium to my Nest Audio or Home. However I am able to cast to my TV which has inbuilt chromecast. It doesn’t play any music even when I say “play music”
I have factory reset the devices and reinstalled the home app as well.

I've been having the same problem for the last few hours. Rebooting and uninstalling and reinstalling have not rectified the issue

Yeah I have the problem too. Tried the suggested solutions but problem persists. What gives?

We don't use YouTube on our Nest Hubs, but on Nov. 10, Google Nest broke the interface between Nest Hubs and Netflix, and fixed it on Nov. 17 after hundreds of customers posted here. Perhaps they've now broken the interface with YouTube.
You could try contacting Support and mention the previous breakage of the Netflix interface from Nov. 10 to Nov. 17: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

So it looks like youtube is up and running again on my hub max. The icon to youtube does not work though. The only way it works for me is if I go to Media tab and then scroll to youtube and click on this link. It's annoying but at least it works now... sort of...

Hi everyone,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us.
I wanted to follow up and see if I could be of any help. Seems like other users are reporting that it’s working now. Could all of you try to do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest speakers/ displays and Chromecast for 30 seconds, then do the same thing on your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Juni

Thanks, everyone. Mine is now working. It resolved itself. Appears it may have been a YouTube issue

Nope!! Still not working. My hub just tells me it doesn’t know which screen to use! This is ridiculous

Hi Tatemo,
Sorry about this. Have you already tried performing a complete reset to your Google Nest speakers? Let's go ahead and try that to see if this would make any changes on its behavior.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Princess
