I want to disable command responses. If I say, "turn off the bedroom light" I want the light to turn off, I don't need to be told the light is turning off, I am not blind; I can see if the light is off.
I know this is possible, because before an update my nest hub behaved properly.
I don't want any patronizing answer to give feedback on the device or that it only works when devices are in the same room (THEY ARE.)
AND I would really appreciate it if this topic doesn't get locked. Others have asked this before, I shouldn't have to start a new thread and neither should the next person who is tired of this.

Currently there is a voice confirmation if you are asking to control a device located in a different room than the device you're speaking to Google Assistant on. There is no feature or setting to adjust that, unfortunately. The only workaround I'm aware of would to put all devices in the same "room" in the app, which is not ideal of course, but does work.

Putting everything in the same room does not work, as I stated in my post.

What kind of lights are they? Is the light itself Wi-Fi enabled or are you using smart plugs?

Hey there,
Thanks for the assistance, davidking!
noooooooooooooo, the devices need to be associated as being in the same room as the speaker/display within the Google Home app for the chime notification to be used. Try to create a new home structure and move your devices there. Also, make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.
Keep us posted!
Best,
Alex

Hi noooooooooooooo,
I haven't heard from you in a while so I'll be locking this thread in 24 hours. If you have any new issues, updates or just a discussion topic, feel free to start a new thread in the community.
Kind regards,
Alex

I already went through everything suggested before I started the topic.
Leave the thread open so others can chime in. It was really annoying having reading through half a dozen different threads.

Hey noooooooooooooo,
Thanks for bringing this up. Currently, there's no option to turn off the response of the Google Home/Nest devices when turning on/off the lights. There are times that it will respond with a chime but it depends if your lights support the feature. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback and pass it along to the team. I also suggest that you send feedback using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," or by following the steps on this link.
Cheers,
Muddi
