my nest hub has been in storage for a few years while we moved... I plugged it in again for the first time in a while and turned it on for it to only show a black screen with the google logo... I have factory reset it after researching how to and its still coming back to the same screen when I try to do the reset. any ideas? or is it dead?

Are you using the original power supply and adapter that came with your device?
Have you tried putting your device into recovery mode?
For Google Nest Hub (1st gen)
For Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) and Google Nest Hub Max
