white noise fade out/in every hour

When are you going to stop the fade out/in every hour of white noise? There has been nothing recent about this and nobody has responded to my other thread about discontinuing Help Me Sleep. Not being able to have my Nest Hub play white noise has rendered it practically useless - and now I have to have another device on my night stand. This is SO not cool!

Hello macleod0722,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear that you're having issues playing White Noise on your Google Nest Hub. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. A few questions: what specific command are you using? Which specific Nest Hub do you have (1st, 2nd gen, Hub Max)? What is the current firmware version of your Nest display? What country are you located in?

Upon checking, "Help Me Sleep" is still supported. Here's a link for your reference: Help Me Sleep

Looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi Muddi,

This is actually across the board - My Google Home Mini does it as well. When you say the comment "Play white noise noises", the end of the track it plays fades out and then it loops back to the beginning and fades in again.

It didn't used to do it, but it has for the past year or so

I don't know who you are checking with, but "help me sleep" has not been available for over a month now, despite the fact that it was supposed to be available until June 13th. Google's claim of "continuous white noise" is not only misleading, but completely false. Fading out/in is NOT continuous. Is there someone who can actually help?

I am in the United States. I will have to research, but believe I'm using the Nest Hub, 2nd generation. I've tried it in my Max, though, and it is the same. They are both about 8 months old.

I can direct you to numerous Reddit posts as well as other posts in this community and Help Me Sleep's own FB page for validation that it no longer works.

Hello folks,

We've heard feedback that turning off sleep sounds after 1 hour was insufficient for some of our users, so we made the decision to remove the end time. We're currently investigating ways to build a comparable solution and appreciate your patience.

Best,

Princess
