Ambient mode settings loads blank page

 Ambient mode settings used to work and I had set up my Google photos albums to slideshow on the projector. Now we have random pictures from Google on the screen? 

Is there anything else that I could try?

I'm not intirely sure which Chromecast we have, but it was working a month a go

I had the same issue(case number is 6-1165000037558) for Chromecast 1st Gen for last three months.  Ambient mode settings is blank. Google support was useless in fixing it. Please let me know if you are able find a solution for this. Thanks.

Thanks for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that the Ambient mode settings load a white screen.  I'm happy to help you! 

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • When did the issue start?
  • How often does it occur?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you taken?
  • What is the exact model of your Chromecasts?

In the meantime, you can try the next steps:

  • From the home screen, select settings, then go to System and finally hit on restart.
  • After the device shuts, to turn it on again, press the power button.
  • Restart your WiFi router.
  • Check that your Google Home is up to date.
  • Check for updates on your Chromecasts.

I am having Chromecast Gen 1. Issue started four months back. I did factory reset, reboot and network router reset. But still ambient settings is blank. I also noticed that my Google assistant voice command told on Google home hub stopped working on Chromecast. Please help. Thanks.
