Ambient mode

I am having trouble with my ambient mode, it’s not allowing me to put my custom photos up their saying l don’t have an album in google photos ready which l do. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you

Is the chromecast using the same account as the google photos albums?  Using the google home app, you should select the chromecast, settings, ambient mode, google photos, and it should pop up.  If the chromecast was set up using a different google account, that would of course cause issues.
