An error when trying the search an app

 I have an error every time when I'm trying to search an app. I just got it out of the box and I can't search for apps to download. Can you please help me?

Hey there Einav,

When your Chromecast with Google TV is unable to search for apps, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the issue:

  • First, check your internet connection. Make sure that your Chromecast is connected to a strong Wi-Fi signal and that your internet connection is working properly.
  • If your internet connection is fine, try restarting your Chromecast.
  • If restarting your Chromecast doesn't work, try clearing the cache on your Chromecast.
  • If clearing the cache doesn't work, try resetting your Chromecast to factory settings.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

In the end the problem was the systems language. It was so wired, as soon as I changed it to English the problem solved and when I changed it back to my language it happened again.

Hey there Einav,

 

That is pretty strange! Perhaps there is an issue with the language you were using before that caused that error to appear. If you don't mind, would you be able to re-create the issue, and submit feedback via Google TV? That way, if there are any errors generated in the device logs, they would be sent to the Chromecast engineering team.

 

Regardless, I'm glad you were able to find a work-around. Is there any other questions I can address?
