Whenever I stream YouTube videos, I often have audio that stops during still portions. For example, if I am watching something scientific and there is a diagram on screen. The audio will stop and resume when the screen refreshes. This happens on multiple TVs with multiple different chromecasts. For about 7 years strong.

I suppose it is a sync issue caused by the lack of refreshing frames.

Because it only happens when the image is still.

Hey there Russell,

That's a strange issue, I'm surprised you've experienced it for 7 years! I'd be happy to dig a little deeper, let me just ask some questions:

Does this occur when casting from the YouTube app or the website?
Does this issue occur with just YouTube or have you noticed it with other apps?

If you only see the issue with YouTube, you may want to reach out to YouTube support. However, if you notice the problem spanning across multiple apps, I'd check to make sure you're not running into common Chromecast connection issues and have the recommended router settings

I look forward to your response, and let me know if you had any other questions.
