Black screen instead of casting

Hi ✋🏻

 

I’ve set up my Chromecast and downloaded my apps, but when I go to watch something, the episodes come up, I press ok and then a dark screen appears, but nothing is casting. It happens in all of the apps. So, it looks like it will play, but never starts.

 

Any ideas on what might be happening?

To better assist you, I'd like to ask the following:

 

For now, let's try the following:

 

  • Restart your Chromecast device. You can refer to the next article depending on the model you have: Reboot your Chromecast device.
  • Check the firmware version of your Chromecast device.
  • Make sure you have the latest versions of the Google Home app and your phone's software.
