Hi outlawnationtru,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that your streaming device and Google TV are streaming and buffering real bad. Thanks for your question about how to fix these inconveniences. You will no longer be alone; help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • Is your TV set a smart TV with the Roku TV operating system? Or is it a Roku TV stick?
  • Could you please confirm the model of your Google TV? You can use this help center article as a reference: Chromecast and Google TV Streamer specifications
  • Are you connecting your Google TV device via WiFi or using an Ethernet connection?
  • How far from the router is your Google TV device?
  • Are you using an Android or iPhone device to set it up?
  • If you are using a mobile device to cast, is the operating system (OS) updated?
  • What's the Google TV device's firmware version? You can use this help center article as reference: Find your device’s firmware version.
  • Could you please run an internet speed test while you are streaming to measure the speed of your internet connection? You can follow the instructions provided in this help center article: Test your internet speed

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Virna
