So the latest update removed the whole option to connect via wired network via an USB-C adapter. What gives?
I've got an Chromecast with Google TV 4k and on version: STTL.241013.003.12571383
I've had it wired for months and suddenly with their latest update, the whole feature got removed.... Is this yet another step for users to force google's lastest product?

Hey Settler11,
I just updated my CCwGTV 4K to the exact same STTL version and my Ethernet via USB-C hub is still working just fine. I even confirmed that it would dynamically switch between WiFi and Ethernet when I unplugged & replugged my Ethernet cable.
Good luck 👍

Hi @Settler11 and @SeanM what type/model of USB C network adapter are you guys using?
It might be the drivers for some devices are no longer supported in this update?

This is the model with Ethernet that works fine for me.
VEMONT USB C hub,5 in1 USB-C hub, Type-c multiport Adapter with Gigabit Ethernet, 3 USB 3.0 hub for Data, 100W Power Delivery

Hi Settler11,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear your Chromecast is having problems with the USB-C adapter wired Ethernet network. I'm happy to assist you right now.
The design of the Chromecast Google TV Streamer 4K is for a TV that has an HDMI port and a WiFi network. We don't recommend an Ethernet connection.
To try to resolve the Ethernet connection, you might attempt to factory reset your Chromecast Google TV Streamer 4K.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Regards,
Gabriela
