Can a stereo pair of Google/Nest speakers be paired with a Google TV streamer for movie sound?

I can't seem to find a clear answer on this.

If I connect a Google TV Streamer to my televsion, can I wirelessly pair the streamer with a stereo pair of Google Nest speakers to wirelessly play the audio of whatever video I am watching on the streamer? I'm hoping to do with via Chromecast/Google Home rather than bluebooth and ideally want the audio to be in sync with the video.

Bluetooth is the only way to connect speakers to the Streamer device.
