My Chromecast used to work, suddenly it stopped, i don't know which generation i have. I am trying to connect it, i keep getting Can't connect to wifi, i don't know how to fix this if anyone can help please. I am trying to reset but don't know how.

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having a connectivity issue with your Chromecast. Let's sort this out.
A few questions: when did the issue start? What's the LED light status in your Chromecast (solid or blinking white light)? Are there any changes in your Wi-Fi network? Please reboot your Chromecast, Wi-Fi router, and mobile phone then reinstall the Google Home app. If the issue persists, do a factory reset on your Chromecast. [Note: All Chromecast devices have a reset button. It is a small black button right beside the micro USB port].
