I'm having a similar problem. I disconnected my Chromecast and now I'm trying to reinstall it with the same network and password and it won't communicate with the network

Hey there DaniLiz,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that communication issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know these issues can be a headache. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening, and this applies to anyone having this issue:
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

Hello, I am also having this problem since moving to a new house with a different wifi password. 2.4GHz same as before (and it worked fine). No idea of what type or Firmware?? It's just a plain black chromcast toggle that you plug into side of TV. Have tried resetting it, turning off & unplugging everything but still nothing. These things aren't cheap so it is very annoying that they fail so quickly. I would not recommend buying one, thats for sure.

Hey there Leerae,
In your case, since you moved into a new house with a different Wi-Fi password, your best bet is to first try a Factory Data Reset, here are the instructions on how to perform that. If that does not allow you to connect to your new network, please let me know, as well as tell me what is the LED light color on the Chromecast itself.
I look forward to your response!
Best regards,
Jeran
