Casts a black screen with app's name (1 app only)

I watch Yankees games on the YES iOS app and it only sometimes casts. Most of the time, all it produces on my TV is a black screen with the words "YES Network" in white. This happened last year as well but my solution was to get my laptop... I could always cast via Chrome just fine. Now, using the browser is also producing this error. YES is meant to be supported because it shows the little cast symbol in-video on both app and browser.

 

My Chromecast works fine for all other apps. Is it an issue with the YES website / app or is there anything I can do from Chromecast side?   TIA!

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. You can try the following:

 

  • Reinstall the affected app.
  • Clear the cache and cookies from the Chrome browser on your computer.
  • Try a sequential reboot for the Chromecast device, router, and casting source.
  • If it still persists but all other apps work, contact YES Network.
