Chrome cast

Hello, my chrome cast that I have plugged into my smart tv keeps crashing my tv. I’ve tried rebooting it and unplugging it for a couple of days, but it still crashes my Toshiba tv. It’s a first gen chrome cast I think but I’ve only been having problems with it in the last month or so. Is anyone else finding similar with this?

Use the Chromecast original factory power supply.

If you are using the TV USB port for powering the Chromecast device, it may cause instability.
