Chromecast 2nd gen ambient mode

Ever since the update, I'm unable to use certain albums for Chromecast Ambient mode. I can get some to work, but one particular album won't work. I can select it, but then Chromecast just displays the Art Gallery.

None of my photos are archived, the album that doesn't work has around 700 photos and an album that does work as over 2,000 and another album that works has around 200 photos.

Is anyone else having this issue?

• Does your album include any videos or GIFs that your Chromecast may not support?
• Did the album work before?
• Have you already reset your Chromecast?

No, it doesn't contain things that aren't supported.
Yes, all my albums worked before.
Yes, I have reset it.

Thanks for your reply. 

As an option, let's try creating a new album with a few photos for testing. If your Chromecast 2nd gen runs the album in Ambient mode, please move your photos there. I understand you want to use the same album as before, but let's try this to see if it works.

I created a new album and added a couple hundred photos to it. It was working, so I added the other photos and now it stopped working.

Update on this. I created another album and manually added almost 4000 photos. This album is working. With the last new album I created, I manually added a couple hundred photos, it was working. I removed those photos from the album and had the album automatically add photos of certain people (about 2500 photos). This is when it stopped working. No idea why that's the case, but that's one observation.

Just to be on the same page, when you manually add your photos to the new album and run Ambient Mode on your Chromecast 2nd gen, it works. However, when the album automatically adds photos, it stops working, correct?
