Chromecast 4 HD stops streaming Vectra and Tune In Pro after update - how to fix?

Chromecast 4 white. The device worked flawlessly for almost 3 years. It was recently updated and there are problems. The SmartTV application through which I watched TV Vectra, supposedly works normally. After turning on any program, it displays for 2 minutes and starts spinning as if there was no internet, when I rewind and turn it on again, 2 minutes and that's it. At the same time, it works normally on an Android phone and a laptop with the fault. I called Vectra, they referred me to the Tmobile internet provider and I didn't do anything. I suspect a device update. Is it possible to change the settings or at least restore the old software with the update blocked? I restored the device to the default settings and it's the same. There are also problems with the Tune In Pro application, on which I listened to radio 357, now it shows that the stream is inactive and the phone with this application works normally. It's a bit strange.

Hello Aborygen,

Thank you so much for posting in this community. I’m sorry to know that your Google Chromecast 4K HD has stopped streaming TV Vectra and TuneIn Pro. So don’t worry; it’s a pleasure to assist you.

I am grateful for your time and effort in completing these troubleshooting steps described in the post, so let’s explore more options.

  • Uninstall and reinstall the apps on your Google Chromecast and see if the same trouble persists.
  • Reboot your router:
  1. Disconnect the Wi-Fi router from the socket and leave it unplugged for 2 minutes.
  2. Check if the router's LED lights are off when your router is unplugged.

Keep me in the loop, and I can assist you with the next steps.

Best regards,

Daniel
