During playing a FLAC stream which includes metadata. (Info regarding artist and title of the song) The streams stops during several seconds. This occurs when a track is ending and another track starts.
A Google search give the following as a possible root cause:
FLAC stream issues an OGG flag (EOS) to indicate the end of a track, which some players interpret as the end of the stream, causing playback to stop. This happens because the metadata is embedded within the stream, and the EOS flag signals the end of each individual FLAC file
