Chromecast Google TV "Loading error. Unable to load For You"

In the "For you" section, it gives the message, "Loading error. Unable to load For you" 

I have:

  • Ensured that all apps and the system are up to date.
  • Restarted (multiple times).
  • Turned off the Chromecast, and then powered it down at the electric socket for a full day (twice).
  • Cleared apps cache in System Storage

Everything else works correctly, including streaming. The only problem is this "For you" section.

same thing in socal. google, please fix this. worked fine for years but started having problems two days ago.

I've been back and forth with Google on email and I'm not getting  anywhere. 2 google tv's and android phone. No Discover feed on Goggle and Chrome. Can't access "my interests" in Google either. Google TV app empty except for watchlist and movies to buy. On my Sony Google TV's"s I'm only getting YouTube recommendations, watchlist, continue watching and top selling movies. All of this started on November10th 2023. I did all troubleshooting and sent screenshots and bug report to Google and nothing.

I guess I needed to just wait, sort of like an outage. My devices were back working the next day. I spent so time trying to fix something out of my control. Resetting and so on.

Brand new Google TV has this problem right from the start. Have applied all available updates, reset twic, restarted multiple times.

Same issue here with the Chromecast 4k. The only way to solve the problem was to uninstall the updates of the Google TV system app.
