Chromecast Xfinity

While streaming Xfinity, after a few minutes, the fast forward and rewind functions disappear and the Chromecast ID disconnects. I have to go to Google Home to get it back.

  • What is your Chromecast model?
  • When did you first notice this problem occurring?
  • Is this the first time you've used the Chromecast with the Xfinity stream app?
  • Just to be sure, is the problem that your Chromecast keeps losing its Wi-Fi connection, or is the Xfinity app unexpectedly closing?
  • Is this the first time you are using the Chromecast with the Xfinity stream app?
  • Are you experiencing the same problem with other streaming apps?

 

In the meantime, try to improve your streaming device's connection and performance by following these steps:

 

  • Check Wi-Fi network: Ensure your streaming device is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, make sure that your Chromecast device is on the 5 GHz network.
  • Restart your Chromecast and router.
