My beloved Chromecast Audio is bricked. The light is orange, and Google Home app doesn't find it. Despite following the instructions to factory reset it (press and hold button until light flashes) it won't reset. The light remains solid orange from the moment I plug it in. Is there another trick to factory resetting it? Or is it just garbage now?
Unfortunately, if you've already tried the factory reset steps multiple times to no avail, that's the end of the road I'm afraid as Google haven't manufactured, sold, or supported it for quite some time now.
Yeah, all the more reason I want to get my Chromecast Audio working since I can't replace it ☹️. Seems like an OTA update probably bricked my Chromecast Audio.
Totally understand. You could try using a different power cord and/or power outlet, and try again with the factory reset steps, but other than that there are no other reset steps or advanced reset steps for you to try.
