Chromecast disconnecting

I Chromecast Twitch from my android phone to my tv but after a while it loses connection & no matter how many times I try to recast it, it just won't cast. According to Twitch it is casting when it isn't. The only thing that works is to unplug it which is very annoying & inconvenient having to unplug it frequently.

Any ideas as to what's causing this?

My devices are very close to eachother.

Are you experiencing this problem with other apps like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.? This could be isolated to the app itself. I suggest you troubleshoot the app by clearing the cache and data, or you can delete and reinstall it. If it persists, I suggest you reach out to Twitch’s support team or community forum. Let us know how it goes.
