Chromecast google tv android remote

When my Chromecast is connected to the Wi-Fi network, I can control it using my Android smartphone just like the physical control.
However, when connecting to my router's ethernet, the phone's Android virtual control no longer works.
What can be done?

Hi radiolandia,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Casting is the technology of rebroadcasting media (content) from a source device (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to a destination device (TV, displays, etc.). These devices communicate with one another within the network/bandwidth (2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz). Mostly, if a source device is on 2.4 GHz while the destination device is on 5 GHz, the source device won’t find it (and vice versa). A similar situation is applicable to your situation. But most of the time, advanced routers and/or mesh networks (smart steering) have ways to make this work and, in the same manner, make it worse. One thing is clear here: your Chromecast device is working as intended.

Thanks,
