Chromecast light wont turn on

Device was working fine. Now there is no signal, the Light is completely Off, however when its plugged into the charger the light turns on. Goes from yellow, blinking white to white. Plugged it back into the tvs hdmi port and the light wont turn on so it wont display it on my tv.

the remote works fine as the light is on and the volume can go up and down.

Any suggestions?

I am not sure I understand.

That isn't a charger.  You have to have it plugged into the wall-socket at all times.  It cannot draw power from the HDMI port and does not have a battery.

Also, do not plug the power cable into one of your TV's USB ports.  They do not provide enough power.
