Chromecast not properly working with spotify.

Hi, whenever i try to play music on Spotify through the chromecast to my TV, it constantly cuts the song short by about 5% of the song at the end. Thus i cannot hear any song from start to end. Anyone know what the issue might be?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device do you have connected to your TV? Is this happening only on the Spotify app? What steps have you taken? Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Try to reinstall the Spotify app.
  • Reboot your Chromecast device, phone, and Wi-Fi router.
  • If it persists, try casting the Spotify app from another phone.
  • If it fails, try a factory reset, then set it up from scratch.
