To effectively troubleshoot, please provide the following information:
- Do you have the latest firmware version?
- What device is used to complete the setup, and what's the OS version (iOS or Android)?
- What's the TV brand and model?
- Has the streaming device been connected to this network before, or is this the first time setting the device up?
- How far is the streaming device from the Wi-Fi router?
- Do you own more than one streaming device? If yes, do these issues happen to other streaming devices?
- Are you trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz network?
- Where are you located?
In the meantime, please follow these steps:
- Check if the streaming device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.
- Toggle WiFi off and on from your setup device.
- Close and then reopen the Google Home app.
- It might have a glitch that prevents it from completing the setup process. Restarting the router and rebooting the streaming device may help resolve this inconvenience.
- Try to connect your streaming device.
