Chromecast with no wifi

Hello,

   I have a Samsung TV with Chromecast. After hurricane Ian, I have no Xfinity wifi or tv, but I do have a strong cellular connection. Is there any way I can stream from my IPhone 8 + to Chromecast on my tv?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We're hoping for everyone’s well-being after the hurricane.

 

It is possible to use a smartphone’s mobile hotspot as an alternative for Wi-Fi, but since your phone will now serve as a router (internet source), you may need another device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) that will be used to set up the Chromecast device to connect to your phone’s mobile hotspot and for casting. You may need to factory reset your Chromecast first in order to set it up again. Just set it up as usual, but instead of choosing Wi-Fi, you choose your own phone’s mobile hotspot.
