I have a 4K CCwGTV and it will not stream any 4k content in my Google TV library (purchased). I suspect it's because the the Chromecast shows the supported format is SDR and my 4k videos are not SDR, but rather HDR. So it's getting bogged down on the HDR to SDR conversion. If I lower the resolution to 1080p 60 hz on the Chromecast, it plays the videos; it just doesn't like the 4k 60 hz setting WITH 4K content.
I've seen posts saying this bug has been fixed with Android 12 update, but it sure doesn't seem like it for me. Any things I can try?

What is the brand and model of your TV?

Vizio M60-D1. I found that different HDMI ports support different combination of resolution, frame rate and color range.
So the HDMI port I was on (#5) supports 4k, 60 hz and SDR (supposedly also HDR is enabled).

Hi everyone,
Thanks for checking here, Andy321.
EngDude, let us know what is the brand of your TV, and confirm if it supports 4K resolution. If yes and you have another TV (that also supports 4K), try to plug in your Chromecast with Google TV device there and see if you can stream any 4K videos.
Regards,
Alex

I don't have another 4k TV.

Hi EngDude,
Sorry for the late reply. Kindly check if you already received the late August to early September update. It includes patch fixes for most of the recognized bugs. If not, try to do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kimy
