Chromecast

Hi

I have been using my chromecast for more than a year now, today while watching a movie it just disconnected and went to the photo screen. I have reset my router, I have reset the chromecast, I have uninstalled the home app,  but nothing, I can't get it to connect to the wifi. First time ever that i notice a message saying the chromecast was manufactured in a different country and might not work on your wifi connection? Don't know where this is coming from and how do I fix this, anyone that might know how please?

I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about the situation:

  • What is the firmware version of your Chromecast?
  • Does this occur while casting from an app and a website?
  • Does this issue occur when casting from other devices, such as a computer, phone, or tablet? 
  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
