Connect Chromecast to internet

Sorry, I don't know the actual generation.  MFG 8/2022

Have 3 Chromecast connected to TVs.  Recently moved to a new ISP and am setting up Chromecast.  First 2 TVs set up perfectly.  3rd TV not so much.  I've tried connecting to YTTV, Amazon Prime, and Google.  None will connect to the internet.  Interestingly, to me, the TV in question will connect to the internet and allow me to surf.  The Chromecast connected to the TV in question complains there is no internet available.  Signal strength shows as "Excellent."

I've unplugged/plug the Chromecast.

Relevant or not, one TV shows on the Home app, one does not, and the offending app shows grayed out.  The TV that doesn't appear in Home works perfectly.

How do I get Chromecast to connect to the internet?

Hi JLunis,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencing some errors with the WiFi connection in your Chromecast. No worries, here's help! There are some steps we can try to solve this:

  • Try rebooting your WiFi router. A simple power cycle can often resolve some situations.
  • Try to setup the Chromecast in another phone. Also make sure that the band you're using is a 2.4 GHz
  • If nothing has worked so far. You can try to perform a factory reset to the Chromecast

Hopefully, following this steps can solve this as soon as possible. If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further.

Best regards,

Nery.
