Hello @Vitor1,

Thanks for posting in the community.

That's definitely frustrating! A controller lasting only a week on new batteries compared to the original 2 months is a significant difference. I also appreciate your effort. Let me help you with some steps to troubleshoot the controller.

Check the battery level of the Voice Remote in the Chromecast settings:

  1. On the Google TV home page, go to Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select Remotes and Accessories.
  3. Find the Chromecast voice remote. It will say the battery level status below the remote’s name. For example, battery level: good.

In any case, if the issue persists, please follow the steps below:

  • Remove the Voice Remote batteries, and then, while reinserting the batteries, check if the LED blinks. If the LED doesn’t turn on, replace the batteries with new 1.5 V AAA batteries.
  • If the LED still doesn’t blink, follow this: Unplug the USB-C connection from the Chromecast device to disconnect it from the power source. Leave the device unplugged for one minute, then plug it back in.
  • Reset the voice remote. For detailed steps, click on Factory Reset Chromecast Voice Remote.

Please follow the steps and let me know how it goes, thank you.

Jorge.
