Device needs a network reset before chromecast works (but it shows in devices)

My current Samsung phone is hit and miss when it comes to casting to my chromecast. It shows the device but I usually have to turn on and off my Wi-Fi for me to screen mirror, cast or use 3rd party apps

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you have some difficulties when you try casting from your phone. Let's work together to figure out the issue you're experiencing. To help with that, I have a few questions for you:

  • Do you experience these issues when casting from other phones?
  • Does the issue occur with all of your Chromecast devices?
  • Does the problem happen with all types of casting (screen mirroring, videos/music, third-party apps)?
  • Is there a specific Chromecast device where the issue seems to occur more frequently, or does it affect all of them equally?
