Has a workaround been created to disable Google tv for the newest version of Chromecast? I have recently added a new Chromecast along with the First generation stick and a 3rd generation puck. I was told that there was a way to just use it like the previous versions, without having to use the remote and getting all the annoying recommendations on a home screen. I enjoy how easy the previous generation Chromecasts are to use! I simply want to cast from a smartphone or tablet! I don't want to use a remote or see a home page with recommendations, and I want the screen saver to be the default when not in use! I was quick to be an early adopter/ consumer of the Chromecast as it was a simple but excellent product for casting. There is a reason why I didn't get a Roku or Fire Stick! The new version seems to be a case of fixing something that is not broken! So please make an option for those of us who want the simple and excellent experience.
