Hello! I’ve been using chromecasts for years but there is one functionality issue that I am looking for a solution for. If I am casting to my television and need to pause my show/movie for a moment, it quickly disconnects and returns to the Home Screen. This causes my progress to be lost so I have to re-cast, start the episode again and fast forward to where I was up to. I understand that this function is helpful in some cases but mine is disconnecting within a couple of minutes, so even a bathroom break is infeasible. I have looked through the google tv and google home app but cannot find a way to disable this timeout. Is there anyway I can work around this? Thanks

Hey there gemmamichie,
On the Chromecast with Google TV, you are able to change the time it takes for the display to turn off in the Power & Energy settings. However, there isn't a way to change the casting timeout duration. If you have the time, would you be able to submit feedback via Google TV? Google takes all feedback seriously, and the more feedback they receive regarding a specific feature, the more likely they are to prioritize it.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.
Best regards,
Jeran
