Ethernet connection not available when connected to Google Streaming device 4K

I recently bought a Google 4K Streaming device. It has an ethernet port on the device. However when I connect my network it only allows WIFI networks to connect. I have used a new cable. Confirmed internet at the ethernet connection and made sure the cable is pushed in all the way. I can't seem to find any information on the ethernet port on the device and also how to set up using the ethernet connection. 

Anyone?

We appreciate all of your previous troubleshooting efforts to connect with our community. I need to know a few things about your Nest device in order to provide you with a better resolution.

 

  • When did the issue first occur?
  • Are you trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz network?
  • Do you see a blinking LED light? If so, what is the color?
