Everything online and connected but cannot find cast devices

I had everything linked up but was still unable to cast from apps. It says device not found

It's frustrating when devices become invisible on your network. I appreciate your effort. To help you troubleshoot this issue, please share the following information: 

  • What's the Chromecast model you have? 
  • Can you recall anything that might have happened in the last 24 hours that could be related? 
  • Did you move your Chromecast or router?
  • What are the apps you are having issues with? 
  • Is this the first time you've encountered this problem?

While I gather more information, you can try the following steps: 

  1. Check Wi-Fi Network: Ensure your Chromecast and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Restart Devices: Power cycle your Chromecast, router, and phone.
  3. Update Google Home App: Ensure you're using the latest version of the Google Home app.
