Hi there, had a pretty common issue on my CcwGTV of frame stutter when playing dolby vision content and I believe other 4k content outside of that too. The 'fix' was to enable developer options, and enable 'disable HW overlay'. Brilliant, fixed it perfectly. No stutter, all content working fine.
Just upgraded to a google streamer 4k, same issue. same stutter but the problem is this workaround doesn't work. It actually just makes everything WAY worse, way more stutter on all forms of content across the entire device.
What gives? it's a pretty documented 'fix' that people in the community had to find, and now the only fix doesn't work on the new device. It's actually turned out to be a downgrade technically, because at least the 'fix' worked on the older device.
